Disclaimer

Ponies, horses, donkeys, mules, indeed anything you might think of attaching to the Saddlechariot are significantly stronger than you, (If they aren't, you are being cruel.) and are animals whose instinctive reaction to threat, is flight. (If you wish to put carnivores who prefer to attack things that scare them, in Saddlechariots, you will create a whole new set of problems, and you will probably deserve the consequences; so don't.)

Getting onto a vehicle pulled by something stronger than yourself whose natural instinct is to run away is inherently dangerous. I have tried to minimise the risks by making it easy to get off, and easy to get the vehicle off the animal. Then the risk is just a loose animal, the same as falling off a horse and letting go of the reins.

This relies on you practising the instant exit strategy, practicing the instant release and, when necessary, using them.

Good horsemanship is vital to safety. If you won't learn to understand your animal, you will not be able to foresee problems. Surprises are dangerous.
